(In reply to Luke Kenneth Casson Leighton from comment #1) > this has already been done successfully over one year ago. see URL. I should have made it clearer: run Linux on the ULX3S, I'll update the title. EDIT: for reference to those reading in the future, title was Microwatt FPGA bootstrap on ULX3S Now is: Microwatt FPGA Linux bootstrap on ULX3S
(In reply to Sadoon Albader from comment #2) > Microwatt FPGA Linux bootstrap on ULX3S still not a valid title, as there are other FPGAs which are a higher priority as they stand a far greater chance of success. reasons why ULX3S is not a good candidate were discussed on IRC and require opencores SDRAM to be added to ls2. which is a completely separate task. as a rule it is better to create generalised tasks that then cover many others (easier to apply for Grants for). however occasionally yes there are "little" things that need reminding to apply for funding. also remember the hard rule of creating bugs: under no circumstances leave a bug "orphaned". always without fail link at least one of "see also, depends, or blocks" to a related bugreport.
