Description Jacob Lifshay 2022-10-24 15:25:11 BST
I haven't been getting some recent emails from libre-soc, logging in to my mailing list settings it says it's been getting bounces...I haven't changed anything on gmail, libre-soc is allowlisted so shouldn't be being sent to spam...
Comment 1 Jacob Lifshay 2022-10-24 15:28:51 BST
as an example, i never got https://lists.libre-soc.org/pipermail/libre-soc-dev/2022-October/005407.html

lkcl, please try to fix this, this makes it very difficult to interact with the mailing list for me and everyone else using gmail. dmarc is broken and fixing it will likely let you send more messages, as well as fixing some of the goes-straight-to-spam-by-default issues
Comment 5 Alain D D Williams 2022-10-24 17:27:11 BST
The machine had a static ipv6 address & a dynamic one (dhcp).
The dynamic one did not have a reverse address, gmail insists on this.

I have removed the dynamic ipv6 address.

I need to fix /etc/network/interfaces so that this will not happen again.
Comment 6 Alain D D Williams 2022-10-24 17:46:59 BST
I have fixed /etc/network/interfaces
I think that this is now correct, it is hard to test without restarting the machine (or network).

Everything is now static.

Question: why was there a DHCP component ?

mail delivery was disabled for libre-soc-bugs, i enabled it globally, lets see if that fixes it.

yup, it works!

lkcl, or alain, can you please re-enable all mailing list recipients that were recently disabled due to bounces? if you don't, most of them will likely stay disabled because people won't know to re-enable it.
